Get the home insulation rebate

Fill out the form and get free insulation paid by the government

Once you've established that your home is eligible for the government rebate, follow these steps to use the rebate to get your insulation installed:

Find one or more accredited suppliers in the government register of installers, or phone 1800 808 571 for a list of installers in your area.
Contact your selected suppliers and arrange of an on-site inspection and written quote. If the cost is over $1,600 you will have to pay the difference.
Select a supplier for the job and have the work done.
When the job is done, sign the appropriate section of the work order form.
The installer will get payment from the government, and any over $1,600 from you.
Keep all the paperwork: written quote, tax invoice, work order form and any other paperwork for five years, in case the government audits you.

The government provides a checklist to help you ensure you complete all the right steps.

Note: some installers have been removed from the programme for dodgy behaviour, so be sure to check your installer is on the list before getting work done!
